About Me

Hi, I’m Justin X. Hale, a Senior UX / Product Designer at Red Hat. I work on enterprise platform and developer-portal experiences and ship production UI when that is the fastest path to clarity.

As design moved from Figma to coded prototypes, I started building tools the org did not have yet. I originated design-comments (PatternFly maintains it now) for structured feedback on running UI. Outside Red Hat I publish a suite of real products with field-tested users.

When I’m not designing, I’m often on the rugby pitch as a referee. Rugby taught me to make clear calls under pressure and to respect the team around me. Both show up in how I design complex workflows.

I’m a husband and dad. Family keeps me grounded.

If I had to sum it up: curious problem-solver, systems thinker, and collaborator who cares about what ships, not just what gets mocked up.
